CHANGES TO PLANNING RULES With effect from 1st October, if you are planning an extension or addition to your property it is recommended that you visit the following government web site which has a useful summary of what is deemed to be
permitted development. DOG WASTE BINS Three dog waste bins have been ordered and will be arriving shortly. Please use them. They will be: PROGRESS SPORTS FACILITIES Progress on upgrading the East Hagbourne recreation ground facilities has been frustratingly slow, but at last the efforts seem to be paying off with the key funders showing support in principle. We have
planning permission for a new pavilion and tennis courts which will provide much improved facilities for the football activities, as well as extending activities to a range of sports for the benefit of the
whole community. USER NEEDS SURVEY The user survey conducted in 2003-2004 is seen by the potential funders as a very valuable part of our applications, but they have asked us to update it. We will be circulating the same questionnaire
to all households in the Parish in the next few weeks, and ask you to spend just a few minutes giving your input. It is also an opportunity to reflect any changes in your views, and for those new to the
Parish to contribute. PLAYGROUND AT GREAT MEAD Plans are now well underway to raise the monies needed for the new playground. Your children will be consulted, both at Hagbourne School and at the Playgroup, and asked to chose their favourite of four
designs. FLOODING The Parish Council has written to the SODC and the Environment Agency expressing concern at the slow progress in maintaining the water courses downstream of Tadley Bridge. The hedges by the bridge have been cut back, and some work performed on the culvert wall to improve the flow, however we will continue efforts to ensure that more extensive action is carried out as quickly as possible.
